On February 13, 2018, Golden Pacific Bank, a government-chartered community bank, moved its headquarters from its striking Sacramento high-rise in Sacramento to a newly acquired commercial building at 1409 28th Street in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. On February 12, 2017, the Sacramento office of the Federal Charters Community Banks returned its downtown excavation, which it had rented to move into a building it had purchased downtown, to the new headquarters of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (FBS) on February 14, 2016.
In April, Golden Pacific announced that Joe Varela, former president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, has joined the bank and brings over 25 years of industry experience. In April this year, the professor of banking and financial services at California State University in Los Angeles (CSU) was appointed the new Executive Vice President of Economic Development at GoldenPacific Bank.
Sacramento served as a primer for success, with the likes of John F. Kennedy, Bill Clinton and Fred Astaire. Darrell Corti, whose family has been selling food since 1947 and whose Vic's Ice Cream opened 69 years ago, is one of the oldest ice cream shops in the state of California and the only one in California. He and his wife Linda have run the restaurant for more than a decade, with the help of their son Steve.
In 2001 he changed the name to California Dried Plum Festival and in early 2003 he was announced as director. He made history by partnering with the Golden Pacific Bank Business Center, which in 2003 formed the basis for the first ever dried plum festival in Sacramento.

The building we bought at Live Oak Blvd. It continues to be a great boon and has attracted many customers from all over the Bay Area, but also from San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Yuba City is located in the Yuba Community College District and is managed by Yube Valley College, California State University, Sacramento and the University of California, San Francisco. There are three high schools within the district, one in each of the three cities and two in Marysville. Located in Yuba City, St. John's Christian School is the only private high school of its kind in Northern California.
